Pleased to report that work on the room is progressing really well. As the pictures show, the new external Barn Door into the kitchen is in place, the walls are being plastered and the kitchen extension has been tiled, the floor leveled and new non slip floor tiles layed.

The new kitchen wall & window Skips of Old Plaster

After just one week work has progressed well. The (damp) plaster all 2 skip loads of it, have been removed exposing the bare stone work. The kitchen wall has been moved about 1.5m the result certainly gives the impression of a significantly larger kitchen and the new doorway created on the kitchen's east wall.

The improvements planned for the CHURCH ROOM include the following:

- Flooring / Walls (damp proofing)
- Toilet facilities / grab rails
- Extended Kitchen / New Cooker
- Additional door (in the kitchen)
- Storage cupboards
- Hearing loop
- Notice boards

The day finally arrived, after 2 years of fund raising and planning, work was able to start on the refurbishment of the Church Room. As the following shots show the builder arrived, the electrician arrived and the portable loo - all essential items !!

It is expected that the work will take about 3 months to complete. We hope that this blog will provide updates as the work progresses.
